Duke Energy Urges North Carolina Customers to Cut Usage as Bills Rise
Duke Energy is encouraging customers across North Carolina to reduce electricity use as high heat and humidity push up demand and threaten sharply higher bills. The company recommends keeping thermostats around 78 degrees, maintaining clean air filters for airflow, and using ceiling fans to rely less on air conditioning. Customers will receive higher bills from last month’s usage, with options to spread payments or adjust due dates.
