DTE Energy customers across Michigan are facing power outages, with the outage map showing active disruptions affecting thousands. A fast-moving severe storm in early July 2026 cut power to nearly 450,000 DTE customers. The Michigan Public Service Commission ordered DTE, Consumers Energy, and Indiana Michigan Power to file storm-response reports. DTE said it restored 100% within 48 hours in three 2026 storms.
