Drivers Sue Mercedes-AMG Over Hot AMG Logo Causing Seat Burns
Two drivers filed a class action in California against Mercedes-AMG, alleging the raised AMG logo on certain drivers’ seatbacks gets hot enough to contact their upper backs, necks, or shoulders and cause burns, seeking medical costs and damages for pain and emotional distress. The suit follows a December agreement by Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimer AG to pay $149.6 million over alleged emission-test defeat devices affecting more than 211,000 diesel cars and vans.
