Dominion ordered to directly assign some transmission costs to data centers
The Virginia State Corporation Commission ordered Dominion Energy to amend its transmission line extension cost-allocation policy so certain transmission facilities tied to new large-load customers, including data centers, use a mandatory CIAC. The order changes minimum demand adjustment factors, reducing the residential allocation factor by 2.84% and increasing GS-4 by 4.33%, and requires Dominion to file the amendment within 90 days.
