Dominion Estimates Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind Cost Up Nearly $300 Million
Dominion Energy estimates its 2.6-GW Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project will cost about $11.7 billion, nearly $300 million higher than its April estimate. The increase, tied to network upgrade costs, April tariffs, and updated turbine installation projections, weighed on second-quarter earnings. Dominion also agreed to sell nonregulated solar assets to Enel for $140 million as merger talks with NextEra proceed.
