Diageo to Lay Off 305 Workers at FiDi Hub as US Alcohol Falls
Diageo will permanently lay off more than a third of the workforce at its FiDi office, cutting 305 roles starting Sept. 30. The move follows a $1.2 billion restructuring linked to difficulties in North America, where sales fell 8.4% amid a U.S. tequila consumption drop and weaker alcohol demand, even as Latin America/Caribbean (+7.7%) and Africa (+13.3%) posted gains.
