Diageo Drops Responsible Drinking and Diversity Targets From Bonuses
Diageo has removed responsible drinking and diversity targets from executives’ bonuses, with long-term rewards from November scheduled to be linked only to financial performance. The move comes as organic sales fell 2% to June amid weakness in North America and China, and Diageo pursues restructuring expected to generate $1bn in annual savings. Deloitte data show similar ESG rollbacks across other FTSE firms, while Heineken keeps sustainability targets in incentives.
