De Anza College Launches 480-Hour Training With Tesla for New Technicians

De Anza College co-developed a 480-hour curriculum with Tesla covering manufacturing safety, mechanics, instrumentation, electrical systems, and diagnostics. On July 20, the first cohort of 15 technicians started the inaugural training at the college. The partnership supports De Anza’s Contract Education model, while related workforce programs are funded by NSF and a $5.6 million U.S. Department of Labor grant to expand training for Latino, Black, and female students.
