Daqo narrows losses and plans AI power infrastructure manufacturing
Daqo New Energy said its Q2 gross loss narrowed to $82.7 million and net loss to $81.2 million, with EBITDA improving to -$29.3 million, while it ended the quarter with $1.92 billion in liquidity and zero debt. Polysilicon remained unprofitable as selling price fell to $4.04/kg versus $5.95/kg cost, despite weaker producers reducing effective capacity. The company also announced a June 3 investment agreement to build an AIDC power-infrastructure manufacturing base, including energy storage systems and 800V DC solid-state transformers.
