Danone plans a new production facility in Macroom alongside existing operations, shifting from powdered infant formula to specialised liquid medical nutrition for cancer patients, stroke recovery and frailty. The project, described as Ireland’s first liquid medical nutrition facility, would add 230 jobs in phases, taking total site employment to about 460.
