CXMT begins LPDDR6 supply for Xiaomi 18 Fold as Apple seeks approval

CXMT, a leading Chinese DRAM chipmaker, says it has started high-volume production of newly developed LPDDR6 memory chips to supply Xiaomi’s upcoming 18 Fold device, with Xiaomi confirming the component agreement and a September release. CXMT also delivered LPDDR6 evaluation samples to customers. Separately, one source says Apple approached the commerce department to get a nod from the Trump administration.
