Credit Unions Sue Snowflake Over Breach After Attacker Pleads Guilty
Connor Riley Moucka, 26, pleaded guilty in Seattle federal court to computer fraud, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, and conspiracy. Prosecutors said he used stolen usernames and passwords to access payroll records, Social Security numbers, and banking information stored in a cloud environment used by multiple organizations, including victims in several countries. Credit unions sued Snowflake over the 2024 campaign, and Visa sent compromised-account alerts to card issuers in December 2024.
