Coupang Sues Antitrust Regulator Over Surprise Inspection
Coupang is suing South Korea’s antitrust regulator after KFTC investigators attempted on-site inspections it says violated a rule requiring written notice at least seven days in advance. KFTC Chairman Ju Biung-ghi said criminal charges could follow an unsuccessful Wednesday inspection attempt. The company cites an exception to the notice rule but argues procedure was not followed, with potential broader effects if courts back Coupang.
