Core Scientific Plans to Sell Most Bitcoin to Fund AI Data Centers
Core Scientific plans to sell virtually its entire Bitcoin reserve this year, redirecting proceeds to accelerate AI data center capacity buildout. The firm expects to monetize most holdings in 2026 to fund capex and liquidity, after selling 1,900 BTC in January for about $175 million. Q4 revenue fell to $79.8 million as mining revenue dropped, while colocation surged; liquidity was $533.4 million, including $222 million in BTC.
