Baristas at a Starbucks on Highway 65 and O Bryant Street in Conway voted 14-1 to join Starbucks Workers United. The union represents more than 12,000 baristas and 700 stores nationwide, and there are now nine unionized Starbucks stores in Arkansas. The union seeks a contract with better staffing and hours, a $17 minimum wage, 4% raises, at least three workers on the floor, and an end to unfair labor practices amid a nationwide strike over Starbucks’ refusal to finalize terms.
