Meta Platforms agreed to buy the clean energy attributes of Constellation Energy’s Clinton Clean Energy Center in Illinois for 20 years, changing who pays while keeping contracted demand in place. Constellation’s related 20-year deal with Microsoft begins when the Crane Clean Energy Center restarts, with staged payments starting June 2027. Constellation’s largest AI contract begins paying next June.
