Constellation Agrees to Buy Rhode Island State Energy Center From Shell
Constellation agreed to acquire 100% of RISEC Holdings, LLC, owner of Rhode Island State Energy Center, from Shell Energy North America for $715 million, subject to customary adjustments. The Johnston, R.I. combined-cycle natural gas facility has operated since 2002 and sells power and capacity into the ISO New England market, expected to join Constellation’s merchant portfolio.
