The MBK Partners–Young Poong consortium, Korea Zinc’s largest shareholder group, urged votes at the Sept. 9 EGM to elect Park Yoo-Kyung to the audit committee and Lee Joon-Bong and Shim Hye-Seop to the board. It says stronger independent oversight is needed to support the Tennessee Project Crucible smelter and to address legacy regulatory sanctions, shareholder-rights infringements and capital-allocation concerns.
