Colorado Rideshare Safety Law Updates Uber and Lyft Rules
New Colorado rideshare safety requirements are now in effect as Uber and Lyft say they will work with state regulators. Lyft says it helped develop the Colorado Rideshare Safety & Accountability Act and will collaborate on implementation. Starting Jan. 1, rideshare companies must run criminal background checks on drivers at least every six months, alongside rider guidance from Colorado Springs police on reporting crime.
