Cogent Wavelength Revenue Jumps as AI Demand Faces Data Center Bottlenecks
Cogent’s wavelength revenue rose 9.2% sequentially and 68% year over year in the latest quarter, growing from zero to about a 3% share in six quarters and reaching 548 unique customers. Analysts cite faster provisioning, routes, reliability, and lower pricing, but many deployments depend on data centers, power, GPUs, servers, and memory that could constrain customers for about two years without a major capital-market shift.
