Cobre Panamá ships first 33,000 tonnes of copper concentrate to Spain and Bulgaria
Cobre Panamá shipped 33,000 tonnes of copper concentrate to Spain and Bulgaria between August 18 and 22 under supervision of competent authorities. The company said the activity supported hiring 2,181 people, half from nearby communities. The shipment followed a ministerial visit to launch community participatory water monitoring for 15 basin communities with independent technical support and accredited labs. Cobre Panamá remains barred from extracting new ore after a Supreme Court ruling in November 2023.
