Coal India Output Rises at NCL as Monsoon Fades
Northern Coalfields Limited, a Coal India subsidiary, has stepped up coal output and dispatch as monsoon effects fade, lifting production 67% and supply 75% since early September. At Coal India level, average daily production rose to 1.91 MT on Sept 8 from 1.36 MT in the first rain-affected days, while daily dispatches to the power sector increased 27% to 1.74 MT. NCL rake loading climbed to 41 rakes from 19, and Coal India filed for listing its Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, targeting up to 661,836,300 shares.
