Coal India Creates Singapore Unit for Overseas Critical Minerals
Coal India incorporated a wholly owned Singapore subsidiary, CIL Global, to explore overseas critical mineral acquisitions and manage investments as it diversifies beyond coal. The unit will support collaborations focused on Australia-related critical minerals and other metals. Coal India has also secured four mineral blocks through Ministry of Mines auctions, including critical-mineral and rare-earth element blocks, with mining expected in 3–4 years.
