Coal India, the world’s biggest coal producer, has applied to Singapore authorities to establish a trading office for critical minerals and iron ore, its first outside India. The planned hub is expected to expand its critical-minerals business and support iron ore, including pursuing overseas asset acquisitions, with African assets reportedly evaluated as well.
