Cleveland Clinic, RIKEN and IBM Named Gordon Bell Prize 2026 Finalists
The research team behind a 12,635-atom quantum-enabled protein simulation has been named a finalist for the 2026 ACM Gordon Bell Prize. Using IBM Quantum Heron processors with RIKEN computing, the work reports a fully automated end-to-end workflow on RIKEN’s ROQUO and improved protein–ligand binding energy accuracy to better match expected binding behavior.
