Cleanup Stalls 62 Days After EQT Wastewater Pipeline Spill in Greene County
Sixty-two days after a wastewater pipeline rupture at Equitrans Richter impoundment in Aleppo Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania DEP revisited the site on Aug. 18. It says contaminated water continues to migrate and soil remains dirty, while cleanup has largely stalled. DEP’s June 30 cleanup order required EQT’s water-handling unit to stop off-site migration and protect groundwater and surface water.
