Cisco Highlights Networking AI Super Cycle as Orders Rise and Margins Fall

At Goldman’s Communacopia and Technology Conference, Cisco product chief Jeetu Patel and CFO Mark Patterson said networking is entering an AI-driven super cycle. Cisco’s AI Impact report cites about 450% higher agent traffic per task, while networking orders rose 40% year over year in Q4. AI infrastructure orders totaled $9.3B in fiscal 2026, but non-GAAP gross margin fell to 66.3%, with Q1 guidance at 65%–66%.
