Cigna invests in FDA-approved AI to cut clinician paperwork and costs
Cigna says its FDA-approved AI and predictive analytics can help proactively connect patients to clinicians and identify chronic conditions such as cancer, kidney disease and high-risk pregnancy, projecting up to $200 million in savings over three years. It also plans a $100 million investment through 2028 to reduce clinician documentation time and speed prescriptions, and reports over 80% opt for a biosimilar.
