Reuters reports that CXMT, a DRAM chipmaker, has sued the US Department of Defense after being placed on a Pentagon list of Chinese military companies. The filing says CXMT supplied information to the Pentagon for over a year to challenge the designation, and it names Defense officials as defendants. Apple previously made a special request to US officials about CXMT’s status, and the Pentagon did not comment.
