Chilmark Settles Verizon Lawsuit and Approves Small Wireless Antennas
Chilmark, Massachusetts settled a federal lawsuit with Verizon Wireless after the town acknowledged it improperly rejected Verizon’s plan for 14 small wireless antennas on utility poles. Under the settlement, the Select Board will reconsider the proposal for routes including Middle and North Road, and later approved the application. The dispute centers on improving cellular coverage as the town transitions away from copper landlines.
