Chery to Invest $75M in KG Mobility, Expanding Global Capacity Sharing
Chery agreed to invest $75 million in South Korean automaker KG Mobility to share overseas capacity and channels, extending cooperation into semiconductors, robotics and autonomous driving. The deal aims to strengthen Chery’s presence in South Korea and support a joint push into overseas markets. KG Mobility sold over 55,000 vehicles in the first half, with exports about 60% of total, and plans a successor to the Rexton launching in early 2027 with 2.0-liter gasoline and PHEV versions.
