CEAT to Hike Tyre Prices Further in September on Rubber Cost Surge
CEAT CFO Kumar Subbaiah said natural rubber prices in India have reached a 20-year high, leading the tyre maker to raise prices across segments through the first half of the fiscal year, with another increase planned for September. The CFO cited domestic rubber around Rs 275-280 per kg and said CEAT took 5.5% in the replacement segment in Q1, 5.6% in July and 2% by late August.
