Cathay Pacific Cargo Boosted by Semiconductors and Lithium Batteries in July
Cathay Pacific’s cargo arm grew again in July, carrying 6% more cargo year-on-year with capacity broadly unchanged, and lifting total tonnage by 8% in the first seven months of 2026. Demand was resilient across its network, led by semiconductors and increased lithium battery shipments from Northeast Asia and the Greater Bay Area, with volumes and revenues up in H1. The airline expects technology demand to stay robust despite summer holiday route effects and plans added capacity for peak season.
