Casella Waste Systems and Waga Energy began operating a Renewable Natural Gas facility at McKean Landfill in Mount Jewett, Pennsylvania. The project is the third RNG site brought online this year, funded by Waga and operated by it for 20 years, while Casella and Waga share RNG sales revenue. EPA standards estimate it will avoid about 31,000 tons of CO2e annually.
