BYD to Develop Blade Battery Systems for Industrial Rail Locomotives in China

BYD battery unit FinDreams Battery has signed a Sept. 7 cooperation agreement with Changsha Fusheng Technology to develop Blade Battery systems for industrial and mining rail locomotives in China, including shunting and on-site transport. FinDreams will integrate the Blade packs with locomotive control systems. The move follows BYD’s 2026 deliveries of Blade-equipped electric dump trucks and a Q3 electric tractor using the same battery platform.
