Brown & Brown (Europe) has acquired Scottish insurance broker Alan R MacKay & Company, trading as MacKay Corporate Insurance Brokers, its first retail acquisition in Scotland. The firm will operate as a retail hub in Scotland with Neil Thornton overseeing the division. The business will keep staff in Glasgow, Ayr and Aberdeen, and David MacKay will continue alongside directors after regulatory approval.
