Broadcom Urges Enterprises to Prepare for Post-Quantum Cyber Threats
Broadcom highlights that widely used encryption such as RSA and elliptic-curve cryptography relies on problems that classical computers can’t practically solve, but cryptographically relevant quantum machines could run algorithms like Shor’s to break RSA. It urges organizations to inventory where cryptography is used and dependencies before migrating to quantum-resistant alternatives, with estimates pointing to around 2030.
