bp Starts Fayoum-4 Production, Adding 80 mmcf/d Gas to Egypt

bp has begun producing from the Fayoum-4 well in Egypt’s West Nile Delta, bringing about 80 million cubic feet of gas per day to the domestic market. Output is routed through bp’s existing West Nile Delta gas-processing facilities via the Giza-Fayoum pipeline, avoiding new subsea infrastructure. Accelerated after bp’s 2025 exploration, it advanced production by roughly two years to support Egypt’s push to expand supply and cut imports.
