BP Lets Contract for Bumerangue Appraisal Drilling Offshore Brazil

BP is preparing to appraise its Bumerangue discovery offshore Brazil, targeting about 8 billion bbl of liquids in place. Appraisal drilling is expected to start late this year or early 2027, following the 1-BP-13-SPS well in the Santos basin. BP has awarded Halliburton an integrated drilling and evaluation services contract including LOGIX automation and remote operations.
