BP Company Secretary Ben Mathews to Exit at Year End
BP said company secretary Ben Mathews will leave at the end of the year after acting as a special adviser until a successor is appointed. From then, the company secretary will answer to the general counsel rather than the board chair. Mathews’ extended personal leave overlapped with Albert Manifold’s removal, and Ian Tyler was appointed chairman after interim service. At the prior AGM, investors rejected management-backed resolutions and delivered a protest vote.
