BP Appoints Ian Tyler Chairman After Removing Albert Manifold
BP has appointed Ian Tyler as its new chairman immediately, after ousting Albert Manifold earlier this year over serious concerns about his conduct, oversight and governance. Tyler has been interim chairman since May and joined the board as a non-executive director last year. Manifold disputed BP’s allegations, as BP also named Meg O’Neill CEO in April. Senior independent director Dame Amanda Blanc will step down next year.
