BorgWarner secured an extension of multiple high-volume, high-voltage inverter programs with a major European OEM covering both plug-in hybrid and 800V battery-electric vehicle platforms. The 800V traction inverters use dual-sided-cooled power modules and SiC-based switches, with production planned for 2029. The company will also supply an updated high-voltage inverter using its proprietary ASIC technology for plug-in hybrids.
