The Bombay High Court restrained Beauty Singh, a former ZEE Learn franchisee, from using KIDZEE KIDGEE or any deceptively or phonetically similar school name pending arbitration. In partly allowing ZEE Learn’s Section 9 petition, the court found the trademark dispute from a 2014 franchise agreement capable of arbitration, after ZEE Learn alleged Singh continued the activity using KIDGEE after termination.
