Boeing Uses GPS Event Monitor to Mitigate GNSS RFI Impacts
Boeing developed a three-phase approach—Containment, Improvement, and Resilience—to address GNSS RFI affecting its aircraft. Using GPS Event Monitor (GEM) to log RFI symptoms and aircraft locations, it builds a monitoring and analysis pipeline for the in-service fleet. Boeing shares mitigations with operators via flight operations and maintenance forums and released software that automatically gathers adverse GPS event data and generates GEM reports from ACMS/ACMF.
