Boeing projects Africa growth: 1,165 new jets and 75,000 workers
Boeing says Africa’s aircraft fleet could rise from 755 planes in 2025 to 1,625 by 2045, forecasting 1,165 deliveries from all manufacturers rather than Boeing orders. The outlook includes 870 single-aisle jets and 240 wide-bodies, as well as growth in passenger traffic of 6.5% annually in Africa and 7.1% on routes to the Middle East. Boeing estimates a $140 billion services opportunity and points to developing certified facilities and job capture, citing Ethiopia Airlines’ $12.5 billion airport project near Addis Ababa.
