Boeing faces renewed labor tensions amid FAA grounding and production delays
After an Alaska Airlines 737 takeoff door plug blew off, the FAA grounded Boeing’s 737 MAX 9 fleet. Boeing says the resulting delays have significantly slowed production of the Air Force’s F-15EX Eagle II and other defense aircraft. Boeing will withdraw 2026 perks for SPEEA workers after they rejected a major wage increase, following prior Seattle and St. Louis shutdowns that disrupted contract talks and defense output.
