Boeing and SPEEA set meeting after union vote rejects contract offer
About 17,000 SPEEA members rejected Boeing’s contract offer, saying they want larger immediate guaranteed wage increases and more money for annual performance-based raises, with improved cost-of-living adjustments also a priority. Boeing said it aims to reach agreement before the union bargaining session. SPEEA members do critical work certifying the 737 MAX 10 and 777-9, and a stoppage could delay aircraft delivery; Boeing also posted contractor jobs ahead of the Oct. 6 contract expiry.
