BMW M3 Electric Targets 2027 as BMW Keeps Six- and Eight-Cylinder Engines
BMW M boss Frank van Meel says BMW M will keep pursuing a four-motor electric M3 while staying committed to maintaining its six- and eight-cylinder combustion engines. The electric development will proceed only if BMW can meet the desired standards, using the Neue Klasse platform. BMW expects the production electric M3 in 2027, alongside a next generation M3 that always uses a combustion engine.
