After 15 years in Medtronic’s structural heart franchise, Bill Shields is leaving to become CEO of Versa Vascular, which is developing tricuspid valve repair technology aimed at less invasive options for high-risk patients. Versa boosted its Series C to $42 million for first-in-human AdapTR work outside the U.S. and a U.S. early feasibility study, while Medtronic continues work on its Intrepid TMTR/TTVR investigational catheter system.
