BHP Union Talks for Port Hedland Iron Ore Workers Resume Next Week
Three BHP Ports unions have been meeting to negotiate a four-year agreement for Port Hedland iron-ore workers. Talks resume next Tuesday with the Fair Work Commission facilitating. BHP has tabled an updated proposal including a 17% pay rise over four years for most workers, a A$25,000 transition payment over two years, and higher roster allowances for work in remote, hot and dry regions.
